The Ari Sephardic Synagogue is one of the oldest synagogues in Tzfat, traditionally said to be the place where Rabbi Isaac Luria (the Ari HaKadosh) prayed according to the Sephardic rite. The building dates to the 16th century and is renowned for its beautiful interior, ancient Torah scrolls, and the chair of the Ari which is preserved inside. Tradition holds that anyone who prays here with full devotion will be assured of doing teshuvah before their death.
