Each month on Rosh Chodesh, women gather in Tzfat’s Old City for Hallel (festive psalms of praise), singing, Torah sharing, and communal celebration of the new Jewish month — a tradition with deep roots in Jewish women’s practice going back to Miriam the Prophetess. Groups meet at various locations in the Old City including synagogue courtyards and private homes. The gathering typically includes singing, d’var Torah, refreshments, and open sharing. Visitors are warmly welcome. Contact local women’s groups or Ascent Institute for the current Rosh Chodesh location and host.
