A beit midrash for Torah study and prayer named for the Maharchu — Rabbi Chaim Vital, the Ari’s foremost student, who recorded his teacher’s Kabbalah in Etz Chaim. It prays in Nusach Edot HaMizrach. The building is a low Old City stone house with two arched blue doors and an orange timber roof, on Bar Yochai Street.
On Shabbat there is a sunrise (vatikin) Shacharit minyan. Prayer times change every week — check the board at the entrance or ask the gabbai.
